GRID to join forces with IBIA to strengthen Esports integrity  

GRID, the esports data platform, has formally become the first esports-focused Associate Member of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA). This partnership represents a significant advancement for esports integrity, bringing GRID together with IBIA and its internationally recognized members who monitor more than $300 billion in sports wagers each year, with a growing emphasis on esports betting. Together, GRID and IBIA plan to tackle integrity challenges in esports, foster trust among stakeholders, and establish a standard of excellence in the industry. Since 2022, GRID has been a certified member of the IBIA Data Standards Program and has been actively involved in creating specialized integrity protocols for esports. This membership highlights GRID’s dedication to transparency and teamwork in combating corruption linked to esports betting. Since 2018, GRID has had an internal integrity department that has been a leader in providing official data-driven solutions for esports. This positions GRID among the pioneering companies in the competitive sports industry to oversee tournaments and ensure data integrity while actively identifying and reporting suspicious activities. This enables GRID to build a significant database of integrity reports and analyses. The IBIA is a non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding regulated sports betting markets from match-fixing. It encompasses more than 50 of the top sportsbooks globally, managing over 125 sports betting brands. IBIA’s worldwide monitoring network is a powerful anti-corruption resource that detects and reports dubious activities in regulated betting markets by analyzing transaction activity linked to specific customer accounts. In this collaboration, GRID and IBIA will exchange information about questionable esports betting and possible match-fixing through their respective monitoring and intelligence systems.
