Ali Imsirovic, a dominant player in high-stakes poker who has acknowledged certain cheating accusations, participated in the Day 13 session of the $1,500 Champions Club Winter Poker Open Main Event on Saturday. However, the tournament director swiftly removed him from the event and prohibited him from returning to the Texas poker club. Just three years prior, the Bosnian poker star was at the peak of the poker world. In 2021, he secured three Global Poker Awards, one of which was the GPI Player of the Year, thanks to his exceptional performance in the high roller circuit. However, his standing was negatively affected in 2022 by allegations of using multiple accounts and real-time assistance (RTA) in online play, as well as colluding in live tournaments. The Champions Club in Houston, Texas, recognized as one of the premier poker venues in the area, is presently holding a Winter Poker Open that is being reported on by PokerNews. Live reporter Kirk Brown observed Imsirovic leaving the premises, noting that he did not cause a disturbance or dispute the ban. The tournament features a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. In 2021, he secured victories in 14 high roller events. Only a handful of tournament organizers and card rooms have prohibited Imsirovic and Jake Schindler, who encountered comparable allegations in 2022.
