Actor & Ante 4 Autism Charity Poker Supporter Kevyn Major Howard Passes Away at 69 

The poker community was saddened to learn over the weekend about the passing of actor Kevyn Major Howard (January 27, 1956 – February 14, 2025), who died in February 20043. Howard passed away in Las Vegas after spending several weeks in the hospital due to a respiratory condition. „I am deeply saddened to announce the death of my close friend and longtime supporter of Ante for Autism, Kevyn Major Howard,“ poker player Karina Jett, who is seen with Howard in the photo above, expressed on social media. Kevyn, a prominent poker player and significant factor in the cause, is most famously recognized for his legendary performance in Full Metal Jacket. I extend my heartfelt sympathies to his wife, Tiffanie, his family, and all his friends as they navigate this challenging period. As Jett mentioned, Howard was likely most recognized for portraying „Rafterman“ in Stanley Kubrick’s 1987 movie Full Metal Jacket. He was also featured in films like Death Wish II and Sudden Impact, along with the television series Miami Vice. Howard was not only a talented photographer but also a prominent figure in the poker scene. He was a regular participant at Ante 4 Autism, which will hold its 17th annual charity poker tournament on July 26, 2025, at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The $200 buy-in tournament welcomes all participants. Kevyn Major Howard is associated with Ante 4 Autism, which has raised more than $1.4 million so far. The event has drawn prominent figures like Jen Harman, Erik Seidel, Randy Couture, and William Hung, who claimed victory in the tournament in 2022.
